SILVIA DE ASSIS

Bio

I’m from southern Brazil, where I graduated as a Veterinarian (2017-2022). My passion for wildlife and conservation has always driven me to explore the intersection between animals and their environments. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree at Stockholm University, where I am studying the effects of ambient temperature on bumblebee foraging activity.

My research is focused on understanding how changes in temperature influence the foraging behaviour of these pollinators. This project allows me to combine my veterinary background with my love for ecology, as I work to better understand the broader implications of climate change on animal behaviour.

Outside of my studies, I am an wildlife enthusiast, with a strong interest in animal behaviour.
